Debt Settlement Services
Below is what the client can expect once pre-approved for the program.
Client will be advised by their sales representative to call our client service department to complete their Orientation call once pre-approval has been obtained from your Account Executive. Client will also be called by our offices to do an Orientation, or schedule one for a later time.
Client will be asked several questions over a recorded call to ensure that all information on their contract is correct and that they understand the program.
Client will be emailed or mailed (depending on their preference) an Intro Pack welcoming them to the program, as well as a copy of their contract.
Client will be required to send statements and other information to the company to help process their accounts for negotiations.
Client will also be required to send out a “Change of Address” form directly to their creditors, so that all mail coming from their creditors is forwarded to our office.
The client’s funds will be held in Global Client Solutions, a personal savings account, which can only be used when the client agrees to use them. The client has full access to their funds and can withdraw them at any time. All client fees will come from the funds deposited into their account with Global.
The client will be contacted at least once a month for the length of the program to make sure that they are not having any problems or have any questions.
Once the client has saved enough, usually around 50% of their smallest balance, negotiations will begin. This could be, in some cases, 6-9 months (or more) down the line, depending on the circumstances.
Non-attorneys that are representing the law firm will be settling the client’s accounts (this is stated in the original contract they signed).
Client’s creditor accounts will be settled by negotiators under the law firm one at a time unless the client has enough funds to settle more.
Once all of the client’s creditors are settled in full, paid in full or a favorable payment arrangement is reached, the client will go through a graduation process.
Client will receive a certificate of completion
Client will be told that they should run their credit report
Client will be sent their settlement letters and complete Global statement
Client will be told how to send this information to the credit bureaus in the event something is not reported correctly on their report.
